We are married!!

Wow. What a whirlwind past couple of weeks.

Let's see...

I graduated...

Got married...

Spent 11 days in Hawaii...

and just came home to a horrifying mess in our apartment.

Boxes, gifts, laundry, luggage, Billy sleeping on the couch :)

Now that all the madness is over, I promise to be faithful to this lil ol blog of mine. I have a lot of pictures to share... but for now, I will leave you with the FAB and I mean FAB photos by Carli and Joe of Shutterlove. I am so happy with how everything came out. Especially the pictures. I recommend Shutterlove to ANYONE searching for wedding, baby, engagement, family, or just everyday photos. Check out what they did for our wedding and I am sure you will agree :)

Also, a HUGE shoutout to Rohn himself. John helped organize and basically get my flikr account going. He also added some of his handiwork to the mix. Momma T just added our Hawaii ones too!

ENJOY!

3 months to go...

Wow

It is amazing how fast our wedding is approaching yet incredible to see all of my ideas and projects come to fruition. I feel like I, (I mean we), have been planning for ages...

For the past few months I have been covered in Gocco ink, cut thousands of sheets of paper, sewed like a mad-woman, painted, assembled, and glued like crazy.

I wish I could share all of my progress...but I want some things to be a "surprise"

And to all you DIY'ers out there... prepare to have your home look a little something like this...

can we say "Lindsay needs her very own craft room?!"

OH...if anyone was thinking about getting me a wedding gift (and I mean ME)...this is what I am currently drooling over

Inspired Goodness

I have wonderful yet surprising news to share...

Inspired Goodness has asked me to be a guest wedding blogger for the fabulous site!

I am so excited to get started with them. As you already know... I have a slight obsession with all things wedding related. Living in T-town doesn't give one many options on the wedding front, especially if you have a modest budget such as ours.

It seemed only practical to add some DIY projects to the mix. I never, ever, ever thought my silly little blog could ACTUALLY be interesting to some people... or even venture away from my 3 northwest Ohio readers.

None-the-less, I am stoked. I have so many (in my opinion...) great ideas for the production...err... wedding coming up in less than 4 months (!!!!!eeeek!!!!!!!), that I would love to share and inspire any of my insane creations with others.

Heck, that's how I got started.

So, indulge me in my narcissism, and check out my introduction posted today.

I always knew I had a large head... but it seems more apparent today than ever.

Thanks for the support and I hope you continue my blogging journey as I venture from slacker to somewhat-decent-blogger :)

We're Famous!

www.shutterlovestudio.com

...well, sort of!

I was browsing our wedding photographers website tonight and noticed that 3 of our engagement photos have made it to their display collection! I am SO GLAD we decided on SHUTTERLOVE as our wedding photographer. They are so modern, yet classy and Carly and Joe are young and fun to work with.

If you navigate to their page, we are under "wedding galleries" then "will you?" pages 18, 47, 54.

Speaking of weddings... ours is literally less than 5 months away. holy. crap.

I am not too worried. everything is going well... currently trying to tackle the wedding invitation suite. I am also desperately STILL searching for green heels. LADIES, keep your eyes open for me! size 8.

Since the countdown has begun, per usual, this blog will take the back burner.

On a high note, I start my LAST SEMESTER at UT this monday... graduation date is set for May 9.

Oh May.
Oh 2009.
Fingers crossed I make it through with my sanity :)

happy new year !

SNOW DAY!

Since this is my first official "snow day" at my new teaching position... I have no excuse not to upload the blog, as I have been rather busy since school is out for the semester
(all A's-- booyah).

First, photos of our first Christmas tree together (yes, we realize cohabitation is against Catholic doctrine... as we were retold this at our FOCUS meeting with our priest. tisk. tisk.)

i spy a cute little squirrel... do you?

Justin felt the need to be cheesy as possible- since I made him pose.

Our festive, cozy little abode.

And on to the big news... I busted out the GOCCO today! Let me explain what a geek I am... I was seriously shaking-- I have heard horror stories of bad first experiences and didn't want that. I couldn't believe how awesome this machine is! It went so well... Here is what I created:

obviously excited to get started-- don't mine my hawt appearance...

inking the napkins-- look at those guns

100 napkins!!!! exactly the way I wanted them

100 with the other design

close up

I swear to goodness if I see people throwing these away at the reception, I will cry! Just kidding-- it only took me like 20 minutes to make all of these. I HEART GOCCO!!

next up: COASTERS

We also came into 97 mason jars-- for free. Did I mention FREE. Like totally free. Who knows what these would of cost me... But they are so quirky, odd and perfect for our centerpieces... I can't wait to fill them with beautiful flowers :)

We also have been engaged for 1 whole year today! (totally missing NYC)

In case I catch the lazy bug over the next week, have a lovely Christmas and a fantastic new year. I hope to see you at the 3rd annual Christmas cocktail party extravaganza on Friday!!

it's that time of year...

where i am totally swamped! I've got the End-of-the-Semester blues where everything is due and projects/reports/papers/case studies are literally piling up on my living room floor.

but, you still deserve a quick update of my "i lay it on myself" hectic life

1. i got a new job! well, two actually. first, a literacy coach in bedford. i am super excited as my master's focus is on reading/literacy. i also am going to start working with jt for a bit to get some extra money over the holidays. we are selling the CRICUT machine. for all of you scrapbookers out there, be jealous, be VERY jealous. Free access to the machine all day and there is a chance, maybe one day, i could have my own. woot. woot.

2. my wedding dress is here. really- truly- here. like squeeze my fat butt into it here.

3. 6 months to go :) uckkk gym gym gym!! no excuses, i need to go.

4. that gym comment gets to be put off until AFTER the holidays...duhh

5. my etsy shop is NOT running for several reasons:
-no creative name for the biz
- no time to really focus my creativity on making something!
- however, i will take personal orders to match your cute christmas outfits!

6. 3rd annual christmas cocktail party invites are in the mail...

7. did you get our SAVE THE DATE?? what did ya think?
